PETER REYNOLDS COUNSELLING

Counselling

People come to counselling for all sorts of reasons. Some are struggling to cope after a loss or trauma. Others want to explore difficulties in relationships, feelings of isolation, or a sense that something just isn’t right. Many are living with anxiety or depression.

Counselling can offer a way forward when life feels overwhelming or stuck. It’s natural to feel daunted at first, but talking things through in a safe and supportive space can help you better understand yourself — and that understanding often opens the door to real, lasting change.

About me

I will meet you with warmth and compassion. I focus on creating a safe, non-judgemental space where you can share and explore at your own pace.

I’m an experienced counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP), based in Waterloo on Wednesdays, and in Peckham on Thursdays and Fridays. I work with individual adults, both in-person and online, and welcome clients from a wide range of backgrounds. I have particular experience working with LGBTQ+ people, and with those navigating loss, grief or bereavement. Many of the people I work with are living with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, or the impact of trauma. I also offer support around the lifelong impact of adoption – for adult adoptees, adoptive parents and birth family members.

My training is integrative, meaning I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to suit your needs. We might explore how earlier life experiences are affecting you now, especially if you're feeling stuck, anxious or dissatisfied. Or, if there’s something more specific you want to work on, we can take a more focused approach.

How it works

If you are interested in having counselling with me, please send me an email, letting me know when you would be available to meet and whether you would like to meet online or in-person.

In-person sessions take place in warm and welcoming rooms in Waterloo on Wednesdays or in Peckham on Thursdays and Fridays.

I meet with clients once a week, for 50 minute sessions.  I don’t charge for our first session. It’s a chance for us both to get a sense of whether working together feels like the right fit. You can share a little about what’s bringing you to therapy, ask any questions, and hear more about how I work. I’ll also be thinking about whether I’m the best person to support you. There’s no obligation to continue — the session is simply an opportunity to explore.

Contact & Fees

After the first session, I charge £65 for a 50 minute session, in-person or online.
