PETER REYNOLDS COUNSELLING
COUNSELLING
People come to counselling for many different reasons. You may be struggling after a loss or difficult experience, finding relationships challenging, or feeling isolated or disconnected. Sometimes there is a clear problem such as anxiety or depression. At other times there may simply be a sense that something in life isn’t quite right.

Counselling can offer a space to slow down and reflect on what is going on in your life. Talking things through in a safe, supportive and non-judgemental environment can help you better understand your thoughts, feelings and patterns and that understanding can often open the door to meaningful and lasting change.

It’s natural to feel unsure or nervous about starting therapy. My aim is to offer a calm and thoughtful space where you feel able to explore whatever feels important, at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

About me
I offer a warm, thoughtful and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about whatever is going on in your life.

I’m an experienced counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). I see clients in Waterloo on Wednesdays and in Peckham on Thursdays and Fridays, and I also offer online sessions.

I work with individual adults from a wide range of backgrounds. Many of the people I support are living with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, or the impact of difficult or painful experiences. I have particular experience working with LGBTQ+ clients and with those navigating grief, loss or bereavement. I also offer support around the lifelong impact of adoption for adult adoptees, adoptive parents and birth family members.

My training is integrative, which means I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches depending on what might be most helpful for you. Sometimes our work may involve exploring how earlier life experiences continue to shape the way you feel or relate to others today. At other times we may focus more on a particular challenge you are currently facing.

How it works
If you’re interested in starting counselling, please send me an email letting me know a little about your availability and whether you would prefer to meet online or in person.

In-person sessions take place in comfortable and welcoming therapy rooms in Waterloo on Wednesdays and in Peckham on Thursdays and Fridays. I meet with clients once a week for 50-minute sessions.

I offer a free introductory session, which gives us both a chance to see whether working together feels like the right fit. During this first meeting you can share a little about what has brought you to therapy, ask any questions, and hear more about how I work. I will also be thinking about whether I’m the best person to support you.

There is no obligation to continue after this session. It’s simply an opportunity for us to explore whether working together feels right.
Contact & Fees
After the introductory session, my fee is £70 for a 50-minute session, whether meeting in person or online.
